D'Soul of Muzik born DeAnte' Ramone Hill is one of these rare individuals. Born and raised in the tough & drug infested streets of Harvey, Ill -- near Chicago's southside D'Soul was anointed with the gift of music from his first breath. From his grandmother's Sunday blasting of Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder and Earth, Wind & Fire to his mother's heavy gospel influence, music has been a part of his life. At the early age of four, D'Soul received his first drum set, playing on the street corners as his mother sang for dollars & change. By age 9 he was adopted into the adult choir as the youngest member in church history. By the time D'Soul entered his sophomore year in high school he was a well accomplished songwriter and a piano player by ear. D'Soul was also the lead singer of various male groups throughout the Chicagoland area and gathered a huge fan base. While performing as a duo group out of Las Vegas with another male, D'Soul had the opportunity to tour on Usher's 8701 tour, sing with legendary Jazz singer Al Jarreau and sing for Muhammad Ali. As a solo artist and songwriter, D'Soul has had the opportunity to work with a variety of major recording artist and acclaimed music producers from Grammy Award winning Tiny (Xscape), Acclaimed producer/singer/songwriter Karl Wolf (Canada), Celion Dion's background vocalist Barnev Vailsant (DJ Polar Bear, Lauryn Hill), Mega producer/composer Yacoub Moilim (Canada), Grammy Award winning producer Tiger (Gladys Knight), Mega Producer Armando Colon (Shaggy, Jarvis, Myko Slim) and Sean "Hitman" Hall (3LW, Pink, Tyrese) and Mark Sanchez (Grand Hustle) as well as up and coming producers Do From Da Go ( Stack or Starve, Coast2Coast DJ ) and The J Team...just to name a few. D'Soul has also received song placements on then So So Def recording artist Jarvis, Day's of Our Live's Nadia B'jorlin placements beyond the border (Canada, UK). With a song catalogue of over 300 songs D'Soul is destined to become one of the next great songwriters of our time. Over the past year, D'Soul has opened up for R. Kelly, Ginuwine, Avant, J. Holiday, Carl Thomas and Dave Hollister just to name a few and was the top R&B artist on www.gigmasters.com for Atlanta, GA where he received rave reviews from each performance as well a Top Myspace Artist with over a million plus plays and views. D'Soul is featured on numerous mixtapes from Las Vegas to Chicago to Atlanta and New York. D'Soul's first single Dangerous Game debuted in Chicago on WPWX Power 92.3 and stayed in rotation for 4 months strong with 2 live on air radio interviews. D'Soul was recently featured on The Cover of SIR Magazine (Souljah Boy, D. Woods), Heard, WWS and Parle' magazine and is currently competing on The CW's "Before The Fame" airing this Summer. From The Sweet Auburn Festival Boost Mobile Stage, Atlanta Jazz & Blues Festival, Apache Cafe, Royal Peacock, Sugar Hill, The Bronner Brother Show, S.U.M.C.
