Bio

Deytwan Hill better known to his fans as D-Tweez is an artist from Queens, NY. His versatility is what allows him to stand out from other artists and he has the ability to attack any genre of music.

D-Tweez started out as a battle rapper in the streets of New York. He wrote his first lyrics at 16 years old but it wouldn't be until two years later when he would take his talents seriously. At that age people took notice and encouraged him to pursue his new found passion. "They felt I had a God given talent". Unlike most artists, Tweez never listened to music much while growing up, hence; the raw originality in his sound. Being deprived for most of his life of strong family ties, a decent household income, and some of the other pleasures granted to a more privileged individual, he figured that whatever he wanted to accomplish he would have to do it himself. Tweez lets people get to know him and what his life is like through the pen and heartfelt lyrics. Tweez's real life predicament has made him who he is today. He welcomes anyone willing to listen to take a look into what his life is like through his music. You won't find a particular style in his sound, however he's most easily identified by his unrivaled adlibs.

D-Tweez mix tapes includes, It All Makes Sense Vol., 1(2009) Vol., 2(2010) and Dreams to Reality EP (2011). His next project, which is scheduled to be released next year, B.I.D. (Blessing in Disguise) is a captivating and moving debut that heralds the arrival of a gifted and significant new talent, one whose music feels familiar in the best possible way, while striking out on its own territory. He is a staple performer in the #ThePopUpShow and has been performing and garnishing fans in several states including NYC, Philadelphia, Delaware and the A3C Hip-Hop Festival in Atlanta, GA. He was also a contestant for Sprite Presents BET Hot 16. D-Tweez is a member of Good Belt Gang founded by hip-hop artist Noreaga. Tweez has also worked with producers The Fourth Coming, The Majors and Marvin ‘Hagler’ Thomas.
