"Duane In Concert"

Duane Stailey is one of the most talented entertainers I've ever seen. Not only does he write songs and sing them, he does fantastic impersonations of other singers. I've never seen another entertainer sing both parts of a duet and play the guitar all at the same time. Duane can do it, sounding good and making it look easy. He's not just a singer, he's an entertainer. He's very versatile, singing mostly country, but he also sings rock and gospel putting heart & soul into whatever he sings. He probably even sings opera; I've just never heard him. I go to his shows every chance I get, because I don't expect him to be around here much when the world finds out what a talent he is.

"Two Lane Highway CD Review"

Excerpts from this review:

...In fact, I was impressed with his writing, and his voice is soft and melodic, yet strong and confident. It’s what I’d call “easy-listening” country, which isn’t a bad thing. It's not pop, just not hard country as I define it. No fiddle or steel, but good country music nevertheless. ...

... Best cuts on this album are “New Tattoo”, “Baby Come Back”, “Good Ol’ Days”, "Two Lane Highway" and "Take My Hand", a wonderful love ballad. “Redneckville” is humorous and cleverly written, a fun song to hear. He picks up the pace with "Get Back Home", rockin' country tune about getting back home to Texas (some hot guitar licks in this tune). ...

... I hope Duane Stailey will continue to make music and write songs that real people can relate to and enjoy." For entire review, visit www.MissLana.com's Texicana Jukebox at http://www.misslana.com/texicana_jukebox.htm

"Duane in Concert"

I am so fortunate to live near Duane's "stompin' grounds". I have his CD and have given several away to friends. Duane is the consummate country singer. He is true to his music and to his fans. When his fans go to his performances, they comment on his singing ability, but even more, we are always impressed with his showmanship and ability to connect with and entertain the crowd. You can get a good feel for who Duane is and the range of his talent by listening to his songs 'Redneckville' and 'Take My Hand'....my two favorites.

Two Lane Highway - 2006
Borderline - Coming Soon!!

Duane Stailey, a fourth generation Texan, was born near Wolfe City, TX. Duane's love for country music led him to begin singing and playing the guitar at the early age of eight. By the age of ten Duane, who lived so far out in the country that there were no other children to play with, began composing and singing songs to his brother's dairy heifers. Growing up, Duane performed at local school and social functions.

Since the beginning, Duane's music has been influenced by Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams, Jr., David Allan Coe and Bob Seger, as well as other country music legends. Traces of these talented musicians are echoed in Duane's unique lyrical and vocal style.

Duane lived in Nashville for a time, touring and recording with David Frizzell from 1995-1997, and partnered with Ricca Records from 1997-1999. Missing his family and home, Duane moved back to northeast Texas and took some time off to redirect his music and his career by writing new songs and reworking others into Texas style music.

His wide, ear-pleasing vocal range, original lyrics, sense of humor, and fun-loving personality has made him an audience favorite wherever he performs. Past performances include Ernest Tubb's Midnight Jamboree in Nashville, Tennessee, the Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville, Tennessee, and a five state tour (Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Kansas) with the Hastings Book Video and Music Store chain. Duane has shared the stage with Johnny Paycheck, Mark Chesnutt, Eleven Hundred Springs, Ed Burleson, Stoney LaRue, and many others. Duane was also chosen to play at the Austin City Limits Revue at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, TX.

When asked about his music Duane says, "I just want to write and sing about everyday folks living a normal life". Duane may be an ordinary man living a normal everyday life, but his talents are truly extraordinary, especially his rare and amazing vocal range and his love of performing for and entertaining a live audience. Whether you are a pure die-hard country fan, a rocker, or enjoy soft soulful songs, you are sure to be pleased with the talent and showmanship of Duane Stailey.
