Bio

Dubbly are a 3 piece roots/ rock/ reggae band from Sydney/Brazil. Since forming in early 2007 Dubbly have gone from strength to strength, quickly becoming live performance favourites in both Brazil and Australia through constant touring and healthy support from radio including JJJ, FBI (Sydney), 4zzz(Brisbane), PBS (Melbourne) + Radio Ipenema, Itapema and Atlantida (Brazil).

Dubbly released their debut album ‘Styles’ in July 2008 through Green Media/Mgm, recorded @ Noisegate Studio in Sydney with Ian Pritchett (Angus and Julia Stone, The Beautiful Girls & The Fumes). JJJ’ s ‘Roots n All’ have been strong supporters of Dubbly, picking up ‘God President’ from the debut EP ‘Take it Easy My Brother Charlie’ and are now regularly feature tracks from the ‘Styles’ album.

Dubbly have had several tracks feature on popular Surf DVD’s and Fuel TV. On their recent tour of Brazil, Dubbly recorded a new song exclusively for the forthcoming Brazilian surf flick ‘Breaking the Rights’, set for international release later this year. Dubbly also appeared on RBS TV’s ‘Papo Clip’ and several popular radio stations whilst touring Brazil.

It’s hard to ignore Dubbly’s infectious good vibes and solid work ethic. Dubbly have shared the stage with Kingtide, Blue King Brown, The Fumes, the Whiskey Go Go’s and Evermore.

Now, fresh back from their second Brazilian tour 2009 and armed with new material, Dubbly have been quick to jump straight back into the studio with Tony Buchman (Blue King Brown, Andy Bull, Tim Finn) and are excited at the results so far. This year is set to Dubbly grow from strength to strength with plans to tour both nationally and internationally....stay tuned...
