DUBBS has taken electro-house and hip-hop to create a revolutionary new sound. Where dancing is involuntary, drinking is excessive and parties have no end. The feel good music is generated from the three members’ dynamic personalities and style. Where having a good time is their way of life. Two of them may be brothers, but they’re all family.
Martin, better known as “Beat Chemist”, opened a studio a little over a year ago and now works with over 30 artists. Merging with brother musicians, Chris and Alex, to create DUBBS. Conquering two cities at once, flying from Toronto to The Beat Chemist’s laboratory in Ottawa on a weekly basis to work on the upcoming album due to be released early summer 2010. DUBBS recently won MuchMusic Disband’s Audition Tour competition in North Bay, which propelled their career to the next level. Once the album is released, DUBBS will be taking off on an international tour, as well as working on a music video with Parktown Productions. Also, collaborating with a Toronto clothing designer to create DUBBS merchandise and apparel.
Using myspace, facebook and twitter to build a significant fan base and promote upcoming shows, DUBBS already has over 130 000 plays on their myspace with the numbers increasing everyday. DUBBS is continuously looking for exposure, performing at the hottest clubs pumping subs and rocking shows at local University/College parties. With a unique name like DUBBS, people are curiously listening in and joining the party.
