DuBNES formed out of The North family basement and our constant laugh track about naming our band after our hilarious friend doug. The band was to be named "doug bubnes" but one day i received an alarming phone call from doug. He was all "dude we gotta talk... I plan on using that name someday.." We laughed. We invited doug to join, and compromised it to DuBNES. James North will perform acoustic DuBNES sets wherever possible. Our cousin Nick joined more recently to fill out our rhythm section and our college freshman presence.
