Dubwise EP, 2006 (self-produced)
Dubwise has been featured on The Bus (weekly podcast)

Dubwise is a roots, rock and reggae band from Jacksonville, FL. Their music is inspired by and made for Rastafari, whether helping to tear down Babylon or praising His name. Dubwise music is a direct result of the struggle that many of us feel day to day, to keep righteous in a world of wickedness. Dubwise feels there is no harder music than conscious music and proves it time and again with electrifying performances. In the spirit of Bad Brains and Peter Tosh, Dubwise has taken music to a new level that excites the senses and awakens the soul.
After years of writing and recording reggae and dub in his home studios in St. Louis, MO and Jacksonville, FL, Lucas yearned once more for the power of a live band. Feeling there was nothing as important as the right combination of musicians, he carefully selected Jacksonville native Brandon Smith as the right man for the drums. For the all-important bass, Lucas asked someone he could trust: family. He called his cousin Shaun and asked him to join forces to help bring Dubwise to life as a live entity. Shaun graciously agreed to lend his magic hands to the band. Dubwise has opened for such national acts as George Clinton, The Toasters, State Radio, and Kendra Foster.
