"Courtsquare Theater, Harrisonburg, VA"

"Good match of songs for his voice and performance style. A good showman with interaction with the audience. This is what music is all about, connecting and having a good time!" - John Myer

"Robert C. Byrd Center, Sugar Grove, WV"

Dudley is yet another worthy entry into the area’s growing musical ledger.

He achieves a kind of middle-ground between the mostly acoustic; bare-bones-in-a-bar sound of the old MTV unplugged series and the straight-ahead radio rock of a John Mellencamp concert. Dudley has a professional “major label” feel. His performances burst forth with a magical exuberance, a fusion of talent, energy, charisma, and love.

While every song could basically be described as "folk-rock", he has no problem incorporating numerous stylistic flourishes into the sound without losing his identity or coherence.

All of his songs sound relaxed and unforced and true. The lyrics tell stories like the stranger on park bench next to you who turns, introduces himself, and then proceeds to tell you his life story.

Songs like the raucous “Tired of Being a Bachelor” and "Don’t Dip in My Business" sound straight out of the Louisiana bayou, while "Before You Accuse Me" and "Blues As Blues Can Get" are bluesy rave-ups that bring to mind a raunchy down-and-out Chicago club. The song list is extensive but all of the entries are quality "High Test Tunes" as the poster ad reads. You can sit through a four hour show and never have a dull moment.

”Dudley Gregory” appears regularly on Friday nights at the Robert C. Byrd Community Center, alternating with Jimmy O, Scruffy Murphy and other local area entertainers . There is no cover charge, and the venue doubles as a wonderful pub and restaurant with a friendly staff.

A must see if you are in the Potomac Highlands area of West Virginia.
