DUGAS, the Nashville-based sister and brother duo of Sarah and Christian Dugas, is heading to Lollapalooza for the first time. "We have a healthy dose of butterflies about playing," admits Sarah. "But this will be one of the greatest landmarks on our musical journey."
When not rocking out at Lolla, the Red Bull Sound Select band is excited to see some other performances. "As always festivals are an amazing place to discover new music, and we plan on seeing as much as we can," says Sarah. "And we’re looking forward to OutKast, Jenny Lewis, Broken Bells, Spoon, J Roddy Walston & The Business, Nas and Lorde, to name a handful."
In anticipation of DUGAS' Lollapalooza debut, today we are excited to premiere a new video of a live acoustic version of 'Easier,' a song from the band's upcoming debut album.
"We find it's always interesting and telling to take a full band composition and break it down to its bare bones," Christian explains. "It's very important to us that a strong song is at the core and that it can stand up in an acoustic setting. It also allows the vocals and subtleties of the performance to shine through."

These two Dugas siblings made their first international sound waves in 2007 when they joined the Canadian Juno-winning and Grammy-nominated group, The Duhks.
Hailing from the French quarters of Winnipeg, Canada, Sarah and Christian Dugas have shared the stage with the likes of John Paul Jones, Los Lobos, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, The Wood Brothers, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Arrested Development and the Zac Brown Band to name a few.
Sarah and Christian spent their early years being raised on a varied collection of Vinyl records, courtesy of their musician parents. Their wide-ranging musical tastes inspired them to define their own new musical path and led them to form DUGAS in 2012.
DUGAS bringing a hard-hitting, dynamic and heart-felt energy with their music - all of it, delivered with the awe-inspiring vocal and musical chemistry only seen amongst siblings. They are currently in the studio between live shows recording their debut album.
