Born and raised in the city streets of Syracuse, NY, D.R&B was introduced to music in the mid 70s through vinyl R&B records, block parties, and early hip hop. Growing up during the time when hip-hop was born, He was stained by some of the most poetic and prolific lyricists of our time. It was a time when a musical revolution was happening and this would forever keep his music simple, soulful, conscious, creative, and appealing. Since then, he was destined to become the man he is today, the legend is has yet to become.
At 14, he entered high school and co-founded the vocal group, Lyrical Impact which consisted of 5 members of Upstate NYs finest. They awed audiences with their ability to move crowds with no help of instruments or accompaniment. It didnt take long before they found themselves opening every major artist that came through their hometown.
Having accomplished all of this before his high school graduation, only allowed him to see more clearly that music was his calling. With his soul anchored in the heart of the streets of NY, and his abilities developed from humble beginnings to traveling the country taking part in some of the biggest entertaining experiences we have to offer, DuJuan has grown to become the one of the most talented individuals we have come across in a long time. And it shows in a slew of recording and performance productions he has been a part of, from engineering major concerts for artists such as Nelly, Ashanti, and beck, to producing and writing hit songs like the energetic sports anthem Game Time and smash radio hits like Pop Star and all about your game, to his own incredibly catchy, soulful, and surreal hit songs like Better half, My Girl, and Show It Big and Feel My Baby. Not to mention the hugely inspirational hit I Believe.
If you can respect the musical genius or creativity of a Quincy Jones, a Babyface, a Jay-z, or a diddy, then you will love this up and coming music mogul not only for the great music he is responsible for, but just for being that guy. He is the Next factor in music in our generation. He has single handedly produced more hit records for underground artists from NY, to LA, to SC and back than any other self taught artist, producer, engineer in his time. He is the most sought after underground Hip-Hop/R&B artist, songwriter, producer, and engineer, from Upstate NY to ATL, GA. He is raising the bar higher and higher one song at a time while consistently striving to learn, grow stronger, wiser, and more accomplished every year. To hear his music is to feel him. To know him is to love him. You gotta love him!
