Bio

Straight from Georgia’s Coastal Empire comes the voice of a dynamic R & B duo poised to dominate mass markets with their innovative new sound, raw R&B music. RicJames, collectively known as Dukes of Da Ville, have skillfully intertwined hip hop lyricism with the soulful harmonies of R&B. Their music hits the uncut realities that R&B misses, while embracing what hip hop has often times left behind. Cedric Lindsey (Ric) and James Small are career musicians, both in their early twenties, who converged upon Atlanta, Georgia as teenagers, beginning their path to becoming accomplished artists. Through years of preparation, they have made a significant impact on the Atlanta music scene, writing over 100 songs for other artists and becoming a local favorite through regular performances in night-clubs. They have worked with some of the industry’s top producers and artists and can be heard lending their vocal abilities to Keith Sweat, singing background on his latest album, "The Rebirth." Their sound is distinctively fresh, with its southern influenced slang and syncopated lyrical delivery. Their music offers content ranging from partying to global political concerns, without neglecting the ever important slow jams. Musically, their influences range from The Winans to New Edition and Outkast. Crossing age, gender, and cultural barriers, their music has universal appeal, displaying their superior vocal abilities and soulful interpretation. Dukes of Da Ville offers audiences a balanced blend of excitement, enlightenment, and entertainment, with a live show that leaves nothing to be desired. Their high-energy performances display a chemistry that has been cultivated throughout the course of their eleven-year bond. Musically, their infectious hooks make instant fans, while their lyrical delivery gains them the respect of the most skilled writers. Dukes of Da Ville raises the standard for musical artistry
