Bio

Dumbfound are a three piece band set up to attack the senses, tirelessly rehearsing and gigging, the Leicester born trio are deservedly being talked about in such high esteem.

The sound of Dumbfound is impossible to pigeon hole, constantly chasing perfection with inspiration flying at them from every direction of their intricate triangle. Their sound can only be described as emotionally driven, melodic anthems. Dumbfound take their audiences on a journey to places they’ve never been.

The impact of their sound comes from the momentum building drum rhythms, supported by otherworldly synthesised melodies, and achingly beautiful lyrics.

Each band member has different inspirations, ranging from Bonobo to The Stone Roses. This leads to an individual take on creation from each member, this variety of imagination pours into a melting pot of sound that creates an atmosphere, which demands the attention of its audience.

The bands relentless dedication to their art, constantly writing, recording, and rehearsing, at their home studio in South Leicestershire, has refined their live performances to near perfect levels. On stage this group of guys wear their hearts on their sleeves, and the door is open for anybody to step into the magical world that Dumbfound create.

After smashing 2010, Dumbfound are flying into 2011 off the back of two very successful festival outings. The band and their devoted fan base strongly believe that their performances at Summer Sundae, and the fantastic Strawberry Fields, where they supported Example and Bon Ivor amongst others will prove to be defining moments in the bands early career.

“On record and during their live set the band are guaranteed to lead you into the unknown, falling into a world of explosive sounds, pulsating rhythm along with sky-scraping melodies.” - Summer Sundae Weekender.

2011 will see dumbfound officially release their debut album, where their power house of a single ‘Wrong Side’ being the focal point of the released material. The band has already lined up some reputable support slots for 2011, and they are gearing up for a UK tour.
