Feeling a bit camera shy

Dumb Found Dead, the rock five-piece residing in Seattle, WA, passed away last night after winning a bet to see who could hold their breath the longest.

Dumb Found Dead was born in the spring of 2004. The love child of drummer Paul Turner and vocalist Paul Johnson, DFD would be an outlet for musical ideas that were misplaced in Turner and Johnson's current bands - Pawn Council and The Bond, respectively. Once rhythm guitarist Ryan Olson and bassist Donovan Raymond joined DFD, the quartet began courting their sound, and finally married the raw energy of rock with an emphasis on melodic songwriting. Lead guitarist Dan Moore joined the others shortly after, forming the current lineup.

Dumb Found Dead first rocked a BBQ in a Ballard back alley and followed with performances at Seattle-area clubs such as The Sunset Tavern, The Central, Tost Lounge and the Nectar.

DFD is survived by their family and multitude of fans.
