The unique thing about DUMMYGUN is the varying difference in influences. Four different sources of inspiration but all like minded when it comes to our own sound. Simon and Ed met in college in 2001 and have been playing together ever since. Simon met Paddy and Niamh working in AIB bank and the four started playing together under a few different names since 2004. Simon’s inspiration comes from the emotional mellow music of the singer/songwriter style, Ed’s first love is the old classic and modern classic sound, Paddy listens to anything that rocks and has a good riff and Niamh has a respect for all types being influenced by everything from classical to dance. These different sources of inspiration create what the DUMMYGUN sound is. Music is number 1 with us. We practice every week and gig every few weeks bringing our sound to new people every time. We understand the importance of playing live and give it 100% each time to ensure the people who come to see us are entertained. We also know about keeping the crowd pleased and we like to play an odd cover with our own twist on things.
