Definitely a favorite of the night was singer, songwriter Durieux. Pronounced "Dur-ee-ay", he immediately pulled the crowd in with a song he wrote for his haters entitled "Let Me Live". This song sounded like something that had already been on the radio for years, it was so catchy and felt so good! With his songs "Dyin To Know", "Back Up Plan", and his closing song "We Should Be Making Love", which got the audience involved by his invitation for them to sing background on the bridge, you can tell that Durieux is not a novice with his music. His presence was larger than life and his vocals were akin to Jonathan Butler. A true tenor, he flawlessly leaped for high notes and knew that less was more in the acrobatics areas. Definitely make him one of your playlist additions as he and his band already have material out now, but are headed back into the studio to create a new masterpiece.
