Bio
Formed in 2006, During the Drought is the brain child of front man Derek "3D" Peoples. After a
few line up changes, the current roster was completed in early 2009. Members are as follows:
3D on lead vocals and guitar, "Smoking Joe" Tomlin on backing vocals and guitar (the two swap lead and
rhythm duties...thats right, double threat!!!). On bass guitar and backing vocal is Voodoo, and rounding out
the band is Drummer Joe Harley. The sound of During The Drought is a mixture of modern
alternative, southern rock, and hard rock. The sound has been dubbed by fans as "truck stop rock".
The guys have laid waste to many venues, including some of America's most popular and
largest night clubs from Atlanta,GA & Panama City Beach ,FL all the way to Hollywood,CA .
Along the way they have picked up air time on several radio station in their hometown and
tri-state area. The band is always about high energy, mega octane, and face melting live
