Tha Connection

When the Durt and Smoke Settles

A recent flood of Southern hip-hop acts over the past few years has helped push hip-hop to new heights; however, great success also creates a saturated market. With labels pouring money into average southern acts, groups are short lived and passed over for the next generic southern hip-hop artist. Acts being signed are stale and follow the trend of one hit or one album wonders--until you get the opportunity to experience Durty Boi Music live in the flesh for the first time!
Durty Boi Music began officially recording together in November 2005; however, members of the group have been recording music for as many as 11 years. The members of D.B.M. (Durty Boi Music) are T.D.T (Tedie Nelson), T-Mix (Brandon Townsend), and Diggalo (Demetrius Vincent). Hailing from Louisiana and Tennessee this southern rap group plans to show the world they are a force to be reckoned with in an ever-changing hip-hop scene. Now residing in the Pacific Northwest, Durty Boi Music believes they have a voice that needs to be heard across the globe. D.B.M. is NOT your average southern crunk rap group. Their music contains unrefined emotion and energy, while drawing from life experiences to convey their music to the world.
The astounding personality of T.D.T combined with the laid back style of Diggalo and the brash direct approach of T-Mix bring a unique sound to southern hip-hop. You can feel their energy and passion for music in both their recordings and live performances. Staying true to their personality traits T.D.T brings raw aggression and a distinctive vocal approach when recording his music. T-Mix sounds like a verbal Bernard Hopkins as he hits you with a steady hard-hitting delivery. While Diggalos' cool and calm demeanor is ever-present in his recordings. Seeing Durty Boi Music live is worth every penny! T.D.T. interacts and motivates the crowd, while he and T-Mix bounce back and forth feeding off each other and the crowds’ energy. Diggalo looms in the back until it is time for his presence to be felt.
Pop a Durty Boi album into your cd or ipod and you will hear a grittier style of southern rap that stands out above the rest. Tracks like “Pop Ya Wrist” and “Get Fresh” jump off in the club. Anthems like “Stand Up” and “Durty Boi Music” get fans adrenalized during their live performances. “22” is a “must” to keep in heavy rotation in your car, truck, and SUV. Durty Boi Music even shows there humble side on the T-Mix solo “Smile” a smooth but rugged song dedicated to his grandma. D.B.M. blends their southern slang with hard beats and great hooks. Each member brings something different to the listener, while still sounding like a single collective.
Durty Boi Music has drive, ambition, and a great business sense to go above and beyond what it takes to make it in the recording industry. D.B.M. has a great supporting staff of KG (road manager) and their DJ C-Luv. Durty Boi Music also has a dedicated management and marketing team in Soul Storm Ent., led by “Mr. Network” Sir Draven Storm & Knoxx who assist D.B.M. in shaping the business and marketing strategies that will take them to the next level in the music profession. Get ready for Durty Boi Music and their team to be all over the airwaves and in the media for years to come. D.B.M. is ready for the industry takeover--the question is are you ready for Durty Boi Music?
