"Kerrang!"

Dusted Orange - Over Again. Taken from the EP Concordia

Some bands find a style and stick to, others shift easily between genres at will. Melbourne sextet Dusted Orange fall into the latter group, and Over Again sees them putting their love of melodic rock to work. - Rod Yates

"Mix Down"

Well, well. Here we have another independent release cross my desk wjich leaves most of the major label crap for dead. Dusted Orange are an original Melbourne based act who have the knack to write not just great songs but absolute corkers, every one of them bristling with hooks and some truly memorable lines. I'll give you a reference, only because it'll help you place the band contextually. Think a mixture of Jeff Buckley 'Grace' and Incubus 'Morning View'. That said, the band have a definitive sound of their own. - Nick Snelling

Dusted Orange Biography

Dusted Orange was initially formed in October 2000 and the first self-titled EP consisting of five tracks was recorded. Twelve months later the official Dusted Orange line-up was confirmed.

During 2001 the various forms of Dusted Orange played a few shows around Melbourne and concentrated on writing songs.

By November 2001 the line up was confirmed and consisted of

Gary – Drums
Damian – Keys/vocals
Daniel – Bass
Sean – Vocals
Alex – Guitars

Within a couple of months Dusted Orange was back in the studio to lay down all current songs and produced an EP entitled ‘5 Tracks From’.

For most of 2002 Dusted Orange continued to play around Melbourne in all regular venues and enjoyed small hits of press coverage and radio play.

In September 2002 Dusted Orange recorded a new track that was unexpectedly picked up by Triple M and NOVA 100. The track, ‘Who’s Got Her This Time?’ ended up seeing the band picked as NOVA 100’s Band of the Week during late October.

Following closely on the heels of NOVA and Triple M, Dusted Orange were invited to appear on Nickelodeon’s SN:TV Saturday morning program, where they performed their new single ‘Who’s Got Her This Time?’

From October 2002 through to January 2003 the band continued to play live at whenever an opportunity presented and were constantly writing new songs. In February 2003, the band went back to the studios to record and release their first official EP, Concordia.

Concordia was released in independent record stores in May 2003 and the new single ‘Over Again’ was released Tuesday 17th of June on Triple M
