Dustin Neal

Music came to Dustin Neal early in life, when he picked up a guitar at the age of nine and learned to play Eric Clapton’s ‘Unplugged’ album cover to cover. By 12 he was writing his own songs, and his teenage years were spent writing music, singing in school choirs, and fronting local bands in his hometown of Mountain Home, Idaho and nearby Boise. In his early 20s, he split from his long-time bandmates and began establishing himself as a solo artist. Neal’s music is rooted in traditional rock that occasionally brushes the edges of blues, jazz, and country. His straight-up vocal style is reminiscent of Rob Thomas, and his brand of AAA pop-rock falls among the sounds of John Mayer, Joshua Radin, and Matt Nathanson.
