We say they sound like: Diverse and accessible songwriting, mixing aggressive rockers such as "Media Man" and delicate acoustic melodies such as "Jeff's Wedding."

First gig: "Linneman's a year ago.  . . .  It was the coldest day in Milwaukee last winter.

Worst gig: "I'd have to say that first one because it was so cold. It was frustrating to get people out. I think we got about 25 people."

Weirdest fan encounter: "It was our last gig on Halloween. Everyone was in costumes. I was the Joker. One of our fans came dressed as a banana. He kept chanting 'Peanut butter and jelly!' "

Day jobs: Charlie and Al-X are students. Robert works in computer security.

Five CDs for a desert island: "Dirt" by Alice in Chains, "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd, "Revolver" by the Beatles, "Woodface" by Crowded House, "Full Moon Fever" by Tom Petty.

Biggest achievement: "We actually had a film on MPTV. Our drummer Alex is a film student and did a film called 'Corruptable Night.' "

Why do you do this? "Because ever since I was 15 years old I've been exposed to music in every possible way. I can't see myself doing anything else."

Where would you like to be in five years? "Playing bigger venues and having our CDs go national."

What's the greatest song ever written? "Helter Skelter" by the Beatles

Next gig: 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Linneman's Riverwest Inn, 1001 E. Locust St. Cover is $6.

Bio

Corruptable is a rock band from Milwaukee Wisconsin with a wide array of musical styles and lots of raw energy. While the heart of its sound consists of hard rock alternative, in an unconventional sense they add punk, blues, funk, progressive, pop, grunge, classic rock, and metal to the mix. Jumping from straight-line and simple, to twisting and complex, the band prides themselves on being loud, hard, and in your face one moment and melodic and smooth the next. Corruptable’s lyrical content jumps from love and heartbreak to incorporating themes such as the supernatural, global conspiracy, shadow governments, extra terrestrial presence, and chaotic weather conditions. The bands influences include Alice in Chains, Pink Floyd, Tool, System of a Down, The Beatles, Led Zepplin, Clutch, Faith No More, The Police, Toto, Lagwagon, NoFX, Bob Marley, and many more.

Corruptable’s first CD,”Long Time Coming” was released in December 2008. Dave Tianen of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel describes Corruptable as "Diverse and accessible songwriting, mixing aggressive rockers such as "Media Man" and delicate acoustic melodies such as "Jeff's Wedding"."

The band was featured in a documentary which included live concert footage and interviews that aired on Milwaukee Public Television in March 2008. They will also appear in a half hour show entitled "Broke Rock Band" that will air in early 2009 on Milwaukee Public Television, that chronicles the bands struggle to make a living playing music.
