Dylan Redman

Dylan is an Australian born singer/songwriter from Melbourne, Australia. His day job is as a High School Music and English teacher in Noble Park, one of the most interesting and culturally diverse parts of Melbourne. Through his own struggles, difficulties and successes and those of his students, Dylan writes songs to inspire his students and people that listen to his songs, to live life to their fullest potential and make good choices in life. Dylan has performed as a solo artists and in various bands since he was 16, playing funk, rock, blues, hip hop, latin and other styles of music. Dylan has travelled around Australia, Europe and the USA performing at Schools, Universities, Cafes, Festivals, Churches, Youth Events/Camps and other concert events. He has been writing and recording original music for over 10 years and is currently recording the CD, “From Darkness To Light” for release in 2008. Dylan tailors his presentation/performance to suit the needs or themes required for each performance and is happy to provide an anti-drug/choices based theme or share stories about Australia as well as teaching audiences about Australian culture and music. Aside from organising his own performances and tours, Dylan also runs the music events “RokFest”, “MetalFest” and “Unplugged” to encourage his students to develop their skills as musicians and provide them and other local musicians a venue to perform their own music to a packed house. With the exception of music Dylan’s other interests include: video production, music and audio recording, photography, sports, amateur crocodile wrestling, education and youth work.
