Bio

Born in a small fishing town in Northern BC, Canada, Dylan's first homes were a boat and a hotel. His father a musician and mother a writer, Dylan was born into a life of expression and travel. At the age of 16 he moved to Vancouver, BC and by 17 he was playing local bars and dives on the downtown East side. His formative years were mainly spent playing punk rock but he always had an ear for melody and an appreciation for a good pop song.

In 2005 he began writing material for his first official solo release. It was soon evident he had a knack for writing songs that would appeal to a wide audience. Over the years he has honed his songwriting craft and continues to impress his peers and critics alike.

Since 2006 he's released four albums, toured Western Canada numerous times, toured Eastern Canada twice, played several high profile folk festivals as well as opening slots for Corb Lund and side stage for Tom Petty to name a couple.

Dylan's most recent release shifts between full on rockers to mournful acoustic ballads with the help of his friends - a who's who of Vancouver talent.

In October 2010 Dylan moved/toured from Vancouver to Toronto where he currently resides and is working on material for the next record. He sees Toronto as a great place for his music and will be able to tour much more easily and more frequently from the East.

As of February 2011 Dylan Thomas is performing solo but can also put a band together with little notice. The ability to perform and tour with different members and lineups allows Dylan to follow his own path and keep moving forward.
