Biography

Dylan TreesĀ is an L.A.-based dreamy folk-psych-pop type band (think Mazzy Starr meets Simon & Garfunkel). Influences include The New Pornographers, The Besnard Lakes, The National.

The band formed when Jeremy met Monica at Amoeba Records, Hollywood in 2009.

In the last couple of years, the band has played SXSW in Austin, and CMJ in New York. Locally they have played the Silverlake Lounge, Hotel Cafe, Satellite, Bootleg Theater, Three Clubs, Lot 1 Cafe and the Echoplex. Jeremy has played solo shows in London and Paris.

Releases include the Charlie Horse EP and the single Three Times of the Day. The full-length album Victoryville is scheduled for release early 2012. It is produced by Charles Newman (The Magnetic Fields, Gospel Music).

Dylan Trees contributed a track to Beat LA: A Benefit for Haiti(alongside other L.A. alt bands including No Age, Crystal Antlers and Best Coast).

Their song "Henry Collapsed" was used in the 2008 feature film "Fling", and 2011 Tribeca Film Festival winner "The Dungeon Master".
