Bio

David Fields - Lead Vocals
David has roots that run deep in American music. Growing up in the music holy land of East Tennessee and learning from his musician father has given David a true sense of his own musical destiny. Country, Bluegrass, Southern Rock, and Blues were David’s staples growing up. His hero, Merle Haggard, influenced his musical sensibility and helped him find his own unique vocal style.

Peter Rozé - Guitar & Backing Vocals
Hailing from New York City, Peter has worked with several veterans of the swing era. Additionally, Peter has performed with legendary artist Charles Walker and with Johnny Jones’ R&B Review. While in Nashville, Peter had the opportunity to work with another legend, bassist Bob Babbit. As well as being a brilliant guitarist, this multi-instrumentalist is a much in demand bassist performing in the Broadway musical road shows, Big River and Ring of Fire.

Gregg Germony - Bass
Gregg began his musical career in Buffalo, New York, which served as his base while performing road gigs throughout the US and Canada. Gregg has also toured Europe, Asia, and the Middle East with the Horning Brothers via the Department of Defense. Since moving to Nashville, Gregg has established himself as a highly respected studio musician, appearing on countless demos and jingles and is currently the house bass player at the Song Closet.

Carlos Ruiz - Drums
A native of the US Southwest, Carlos Ruiz has made his home in Nashville for the past seven years playing in a variety of projects. A graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Carlos is an accomplished drummer and percussionist and is active with the Nashville Jazz Workshop. Carlos’ style is a direct result of his strongest musical influences which include American, Cuban and Brazilian Jazz, Progressive Rock, and R&B.

Al Rowe - Guitar
Originally from Upstate New York, Al arrived in Nashville in 1998 with more than two decades as a performing musician, working in venues from Texas to Ohio and Florida to New York. Specializing in Rock, Blues, and Country, this multi-instrumentalist has performed in a variety of groups, often doubling on pedal steel.

Fish Michie - Keys
This native of Merigold, Mississippi studied piano at the University of Southern Mississippi after returning from a stint in Europe. Fish was a member of The Sausage and Biscuit Boys, a Mississippi Blues group. And in 1981, along with Duff Dorrough and Charlie Love Jacobs, formed The Tangents who played blues, jazz, and rockabilly rolled into a Delta gumbo. Fish has appeared at the Ryman Auditorium and the Grand Ole Opry with Leroy Parnell and T. Graham Brown. In 1993, Michie moved to Nashville, TN to play keyboards for Larry Stewart, former lead singer with Restless Heart. Toured and appeared with Vince Gill, Brooks and Dunn, Patty Loveless, Steve Wariner, T. Graham Brown, Delbert McClinton and a host of others.

Andy Robinson – Alto Sax
This North Carolina native studied music at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN and has carried on his musical education since 2004 at the Nashville Jazz Workshop. Andy played lead-alto saxophone with the Bo Thorpe Orchestra from 1986 to 2001, touring the East Coast of the United States, from New York City to Miami, Florida. Additionally, while with the Bo Thorpe Orchestra, Andy played two inaugural balls for President Bill Clinton, and one for President George Bush, Sr. Andy is also a veteran of Opryland’s Way Out West Show.

John Heinrich – Tenor Sax
John is a much-in-demand session player and performer in Nashville, as well as Europe. He also works with major artists such as TG Sheppard and Razzy Bailey. John has traveled extensively with his own band, Heinrich Maneuver, and is endorsed by Morrell Music, Excel Steel Guitars, and Cain Reso-Guitars. John is also an accomplished pedal steel player.
