"This EP is the definition of indie rock. It’ll also make the perfect soundtrack for a late night drive down to the beach."

Norfolk indie rockers, Dyska, have released their debut EP, Broken Things. The three songs can be found on their Bandcamp page and are available for immediate download at no cost. “Broken Things” opens the EP. Justin’s smooth vocals, solid guitar riffs and effortless harmonies are almost trance like. The melody is catchy and will be sure to have you singing along. “Of Gold” is next and starts with a strong guitar based intro. Songwriters are often criticized for writing lyrics that include ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhs.’ But this song’s “whoa, whoa” fits perfectly with the flow of the track. Finally, “Darling” completes this 3-song EP. Although it is the shortest on the record, a keys/synth based bridge and simple lyrics make this the stand out track. This EP is the definition of indie rock. It’ll also make the perfect soundtrack for a late night drive down to the beach. If you’re a fan of Young The Giant, Dyska will not disappoint.

Bio

Dyska is a new indie rock band in the Norfolk area, which formed in
early 2013. Three of the members, William Manley on drums, Nick Valese
on bass, and Muj Habib on guitar, began recruiting members for a new
project.Three new members were found: Thomas Newton, Justin Smith, and
Dimitric Casey. Newton filled in the vacant guitar slot, Smith became
the lead vocalist, and Casey joined as the synth/keyboard player.

With these new additions, Dyska was formed. A large amount of 2013 has
been spent writing songs and recording a three-song EP, which will be
released later the same year.

In this short time, Dyska have
grown hugely as a group. The music is evolving. Soon we hope to be
representing the Norfolk area in the music industry as a place where
good music lives and thrive
