"PREMIERE: EN MASSE SODALITY FT. JAMES VAVEL “GOT TO GIVE” VIDEO"

Straight up, compromising in a relationship is some tough shit. E.M.S., aka En Masse Sodality, gets that point across with their music video for “Got To Give,” from their 18-track project Age Of Discontent Volume 1. Directed by FRESHPres, the video finds the Jersey-based crew performing in a dimly lit lounge, stressing the woes of trying to find a perfect balance in a relationship with their significant other. The aesthetic is further accentuated James Vavel’s vocals and the production from Ben Free and MAI (of E.M.S.).

"E.M.S. - Age of Discontent Vol. 1"

In conjunction with the project's release, Jersey's E.M.S. crew is offering its long-awaited studio debut, A.O.D. Vol. 1, for full, free streaming and direct download in The DJBooth.

Engulfed in originality, A.O.D. Vol. 1 is an excellent introduction into the group's many styles; their views on the world and a personal look into their life. ‘The Age of Discontent’ represents the life and way of thinking that is often hidden in today’s society and gives an in-depth description of the many vices in life that make the world turn---and helps you, the listener, better understand that what the media portrays isn't always reality.

The album packs a total of 18 original jams from crewmates P$A, LG and MAI. Included are reader-approved singles "Primary Fabrics" and "Got to Give." James Vaval and Kay Love contribute guest vocals to the set, which features boardwork by Ben Free and Djay Cas, as well as in-house production by MAI. Musician Michael Stephenson provides live horns throughout. - DJ Booth

Bio

Hip-Hop in the 21st Century has painted vivid pictures for fans, some well received and some tossed away. Although listeners and taste makers alike have different preferences within it, a common paradox of "Authenticity Verses Art" has always been apparent. E.M.S. has sought to transform this paradox into its conversion and commingle the best of both worlds. Engulfed in originality E.M.S. is an excellent introduction into the many styles & views of the Hip-Hop world .

This Jersey crew has been making moves as a unit and released their debut album Age Of Discontent Vol.1. A.O.D. was a world premiere release on DJ Booth.net and supported as well via Mass Appeal. They supported their album with a tour through venues in NYC (Most notably Webster Hall & a headline performance at Ella Lounge). E.M.S. has also performed at BB Kings, SOBs, The Knitting Factory, DROM and other various venues in NYC.

Following their debut album E.M.S. started their own label "WE HERE Music". They also started up a society of culture driven entrepreneurs by the way of their club "In My Prime", which uses a technology developed by Ryan Leslie called Superphone. With this new technology E.M.S. is staying connected with their core fans, taste makers & fellow business associates by building relationships with them directly.

E.M.S. continues to push the culture forward with their music & business ventures. They are set to release a brand new single leading to their up to the release of their EP(They are currently working on new music & are set to release singles following up to their EP this year).
