Born and raised in Harlem, EX is a talented lyricist. Growing up, he listened to artists such as Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson and Steve Wonder, and by the age of 15, he experienced the desire to share the feelings of these great works gave him with others. What started as a hobby turned into a career after EX began writing rhymes in the increasingly entrenched hip-hop world. 

Although he was born in Harlem, EX spent much of his younger years in South Carolina, experiencing a more spiritual and relaxed environment. In turn, he was given the opportunity to expand both his world views and musical direction. He later returned to New York with a heightened awareness of the struggles of all men and an increased desire to share his music with listeners around the world. 

From writing and recording to performing, EX loves music. He is an intelligent songwriter and passionate artist that embraces his emotions and shares his personal side with his audience. He possesses a unique aura and brings a substantial amount of charisma to the game. 

EX has worked with artists such as Bathgate, Posta Boy, Sacario, Jinx Da Juvy, Sky Zoo, Fred Da Godson and many, many more. He has performed in front of audiences ranging from 500 to 10,000 people, opening for DMX, Dru Hill, KP & Envy and Blackstreet and has worked with commercial radio stations.
