"Reviews on E3 track "Never Hold Back" on Method Man's Album"

never hold back-crazy!!!(his kids tellin joke), something fresh....i love it

never hold back-fire on the lyrics and the beat is on that blackout style again, meth's lyrics are still on point 4.25/5

I'm really starting to feel that "Never Hold Back" song. Like Kza said, it sounds good when you play it loud on a good system

Never Hold Back has a tight beat. Hook is nice. Song is good,

Never Hold Back : I like that beat. It sounds pretty good out loud. 4/5

The RZA intro beat is maybe RZA's worst beat i heard (i still can't believe he produced it), The Turn doesn't sound as good as on the J-Love tape (guess it's the mastering), The No Id track is average, some songs are aight (i kinda like Never Hold Back)

never hold back- 8/10 is this E3 dude a gilla house producer?

Never Hold Back ft. Saukrates & E3 - [Beat is cool, and I like the chorus. Why the hell doesn't Saukrates have a verse??!!.] - (4/5)

Never Hold Back (ft. Saukrates and E3): Another song to listen to really loud. Great intro to the song and Meth sounds excellent again. 8/10

Before I get deep, I just want to say straight up... You are the best male artist I've heard in a LONG time. Can't find any info on you, but from the bits I've gathered, it seems like you're coming out of T-dot. That being said, I hate to say this... But 99.7% of Canadian artists just don't measure up. If you're here to break that mould, God Bless you. Keep doing your thing. If there's anything a brother can do to help don't hesitate to ask. I love music in ways only an artist can fathom. To that end, I'm a married man who's doing well, and doesn't need anything, so when I offer to help, it's genuine. You've got the first falsetto in a long time to remind me of El (Debarge) and I hear bits of Marvin on "last resort". That line where you sing "me for you" is almost identical to Marvin's delivery in "Til Tomorrow". That alone won me over... Anyway, you've been truly blessed. Keep the music coming! PeaceP.S. Like I said, couldn't find much - have you got an album I can go out and buy yet?!? A brother is waiting! And if you're going to sell them directly from a website or something, keep me posted, I'll take a couple. :) >

Just wanted to let you know, I just heard your track "Last Resort" on Flow 93.5 here in Toronto...and it's HOT! I heard it in the car on my way back from lunch, and the first thing I did when I got back to my desk was call up Flow (and wait through a million rings) to ask them what it was. Did a little google search and found you here on the iuma site. Keep it up and best of luck with the career. I'm gonna check out the rest of your tracks at home this weekend and I'm definitely going to burn a copy of the "Last Resort" mp3 to play at my monthly "Soul In The City" party here in Toronto. Peace,Jamie

Bio

The statement “history repeats itself” certainly is true for Ellis Hall III. E-3, as he is referred to in music circles, has the influences of his father, Ellis Hall jr, the legendary soul singer formerly of Tower of Power to thank for his rich musical beginnings.

However, music was not E-3s’ initial career pursuit. He loves computers and studied graphic design, which led to an associate’s degree from University of Massachusetts Lowell. While working at a prestigious publishing company, he came to the realization that music was his destiny and quit to pursue a full-time music career. E-3 then bought enough computer equipment to start an in-house production studio. This early quest of his artistic abilities soon led to the recording of his demo CD.

E-3’s smooth crooning style is reminiscent of Donny Hathaway, another major influence of E-3. His funky backbeats are contemporary and combined with his homage to his R&B heritage; his music is a welcome contribution to today’s music industry. His soulful melodies and complex harmonies stir a plethora of emotion in his listeners – whether from his hip-hop influenced tracks or his soulful ballads.

E-3 is classified as a songwriter and producer as well as a performing artist to make him one of the newest, freshest talents to hit the music scene. His other influences include Anita Baker, James Brown, D'Angelo, and Stevie Wonder.

What should be considered most refreshing about E-3 is his humility. While E-3 has a strong belief in his talent, he is also humbled by it and is very grateful and appreciative of all efforts made with respect to his career. E-3’s journey is ongoing and he welcomes the challenges and rewards that are his destiny.

You can be certain that future history books of music will include the career of this new, captivating R&B talent.
