Each Day

“…Don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each Day has enough trouble of its own” 

It isn’t a long story. It isn’t a complicated story. Friends and family come together creating music that resonates on an emotional level. Not just lyrically but rhythmically. Grown in the fertile soil that is indie rock and watered with light beer, Chicago based band, Each Day, started in the summer of 2018. 

Taylor had a dream of playing her songs for an audience. Whether that be 5 people or 50,000 people didn’t matter. She got her wish when her sister Alex invited her to a jam session with Nick and Christopher. Being members in another musical project Nick and Christopher were looking to spread their creativity in a genre that was a little closer to home. After Taylor had her debut show for not 50,000, not 5, but 3 people… the room was silent. The air had turned to paper and all that was being written was “the world needs this.” Christopher hopped on the drums, Nick grabbed his guitar and the rest… is still to come. It didn’t take long for them to pull in Taylor and Alex’s brother Chris, to play bass. 

From there, over 30 songs were written in a month. The band had to start somewhere, so after forming the songs into what they needed to be, they headed for recording. Their first 4 independently released singles are covering the idea of what Each Day is - Musically intriguing while lyrically raw. As far as a genre goes, Each Day sits nicely somewhere between Folk and Alternative. With influences ranging from Bon Iver to Mumford & Sons to Phoebe Bridgers, it’s no wonder they have created their own unique sound.

Over the course of a year, the band has played for hundreds of ears, started work on their new record and created a vlog for people to get to know them better.

The future holds great things for Each Day. With plenty of gigs lined up and collaborations with some of the industries brightest minds, the band continues to follow their mission… help the world feel a little less lonely.
