Still working on that hot first release.

This up-and-coming band based out of Savannah, Georgia, has developed a unique sound in their short time together. They could be considered alternative folk with a propensity for the experimental side of rock, but they prefer to think of themselves as Acid Folk. Norton Lucas (lead guitarist and vocals) had been playing open mics and the occasional show in local Savannah bars with former band mate Dani McDonough (keyboard/vocals) before Patrick Caviness joined in as the band’s drummer. Both of these guys come from different musical backgrounds and contrasting influences, which show up in the dialectic nature of their music. They added a third member, Rhiannon Gessaman, on the ukulele/mandolin and accompanying vocals at the beginning of this year (2012). To finish out their sound, the band recently became a four-piece by bringing a bassist into the mix. Sean Spain has joined the band, truly filling out E'n'EO's music. Though Rhia has left the band to pursue her solo music career in Austin, TX, the boys are still going strong in Savannah.

Norton Lucas experimented with multiple instruments from a young age, trying his hand at saxophone, trumpet, and viola before settling on the guitar as his go-to instrument at the age of fourteen. He has the innate ability to pick up any instrument and almost immediately figure out how to play it – and play it well. Over the years, he has also developed a passion for bass and piano/keyboard as well as tinkering with the mandolin, dulcimer, ukulele, and harmonica. As an ambitious and determined musician, he tirelessly devotes himself to a self-taught understanding of several instruments and a constant output of thought-provoking lyrical material. Norton’s idealistic temperament, atheistic viewpoint, and observant nature largely influence the lyrics of his songs.

Patrick Caviness, born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, played drums in multiple bands while living there – developing an aptitude for a variety of musical styles such as death metal, hard rock, and Christian rock. Also, while attending SCAD for Architecture, Patrick further broadened his repertoire of rhythmic styles by participating as a percussionist in local performances of Rocky Horror Picture Show (multifaceted theatrical rock) and Cabaret (German polka/jazz).

Sean Spain, a native of Atlanta, GA, came into the mix after an awesome house show hosted at Each & Every Opus's practice space during the infamous St. Patrick's celebration experienced in Savannah, GA. He graduated from SCAD with a BFA in Film Studies a couple years ago, and has stuck around Savannah to participate in film projects and be a part of E'n'EO. He plays the bass guitar like a champ and brings a much needed element to our style and sound.

The compilation of Norton’s soulful lyricism and sundry guitar riffs is rounded out to perfection by Patrick’s heart-thumping drumbeats and the vivacious personality of his percussion. And, now that Sean has joined the group, a whole new layer of unique bass guitar gives the band a full sound that truly captures the attention of listeners. With musicians as talented and dedicated as these four, the unstoppable Each & Every Opus has an amazing musical career awaiting them in the very near future.
