Romantic, sexy, sensitive are just a few of the adjectives that describe E.Andre and his music. A self-proclaimed balladeer, he is poised and ready to play a leading role in R&B music. A soul singer – gifted with a silky smooth first tenor voice that slides easily into his signature falsetto while exhibiting control and freedom simultaneously. As a songwriter, he has the ability to convey the messages of the heart – you know, those feelings of profound passion, vulnerability and wanting. As a performer, he belts out daring, heartfelt, scalp-tingling vocals inspired by his early gospel roots. E.Andre’s music is pure, pre-classic R&B; borrowing from the genre’s best – harmony, memorable melodies and arrangements.
Born and raised in Chicago, E.Andre grew up singing with his family’s gospel group, “The Radfords,” a “PK” – preacher’s kid – E’ as he is called, is no stranger to performing live. “My mother made me sing all the high parts – I’m grateful, because most people remember my voice because of my falsetto.” Although performing with his family provided him with deep gospel roots, his true musical ambition has always been to write, sing and perform R&B music. “I’m grateful for my gospel background, it made me a better singer. ”
No stranger to the business of music. E.Andre has worked with a variety of artists including writing and performing hooks for regional hip hop acts. He recently sang a duet with C’lanae, a Minneapolis based R&B artist. The song, “Incomplete” made it to the number 43 spot on the Bill Board Hot R&B singles in the spring of 2003. He has also worked in the past with Will Smith/Code Red album, Prince/Emancipation and with Chicago based producers/Hula and K.Fingers. In 1997 he signed with JVC Records and toured with his group “Man to Man” in Japan and Canada. In 2002, he recorded a gospel album with his brother, Vincent Gorman as part of “Verge of Life”, the album enjoyed wide respect from gospel DJs across the country. Gospelflava.com called “What is Love” the most stunning independent release of 2002.
Committed to his R&B ambitions, E.Andre is scheduled to deliver his first R&B solo project in the Fall of 04’. The Album, “Undeniable” is a collection of ballads and mid-tempo songs that promise to deliver satisfying listening enjoyment.
