South Africa never ceases to amaze me. The country feels so small, and yet there are hundreds of bands I haven't heard about.
Case in point: Early Hours, a band that hasn't yet featured on Indie Shuffle. Fortunately that all changes today, with a rambunctious and catchy new single titled "Dance Along."

EARLY HOURS are creating some pretty awesome brit pop and their latest single is titled “Dance Along”. The trio is from Cape Town South Africa and formed in 2012. They are blending electric indie britpop with a unique African vibe. Over 1 million people have listened to their single “Smells Like Summer” which is the perfect laid back summer track with some awesome guitar and percussion. “Dance Along” has those awesome guitar riffs with a bit more of an electronic vibe. It’s upbeat and the perfect track to spin if you need an upbeat track to transform your mood.

The sun is rising for Early Hours... South Africa’s youngest rising stars.
The band emerged out of the collective dream of three youngsters: Jake Bennett, Adam Rothschild and Benson Joubert. A dream to put their hearts into pop music, and share it with all the world.
The band's vibrant and spirited sound has been described as a unique blend of britpop and afrorock. They do not care what time of night or day, when inspiration strikes, they will see it through until the Early Hours.
The band rapidly rose to national prominence after winning Converse’s Get Out Of The Garage competition in 2014. International acclaim soon followed as they became the first South African artist to reach one million streams on a single track on SoundCloud. The band’s 2017 single “Smells Like Summer” reached #1 on the Indie Rock Chart on the popular music streaming platform. In addition to the above, their debut EP [released independently] has garnered over 5 million streams online.
The “First Light” EP was written entirely by Bennett (lyrics) and Rothschild (music) and recorded at the tender ages of 19 with award- winning producer, Brendyn Rossouw. The tracks were then mixed in Australia by Jean-Paul Fung [Last Dinosaurs] and mastered by Grammy award winner, Joe LaPorta.
One can see that this cross-continental sensation have their sights set on reaching fans across the globe...
