The best kept secret in music

"CanconRox"

"Clever hooks and tight melodies are predominant throughout the disk. "Candy,Kisses,Sunshine" and "In The Dead Of Night" are prime examples of some of the country's hottest new sounds which aren't being heard enough. There really isn't a bad track on the album - and everyone's going to have their own favourites. Just about any of them is as good, if not better, than what you heard on the radio yesterday and can expect to hear today. Tomorrow's agenda could only improve with any number of tracks from WICKED STILL." - Dan Brisebois

"Spirit Magazine"

"It's pretty noisy in Toronto. It can be annoying for the most part, but there are times when a racket of bangs, booms and beeps are blended to make some of the best sounds around. Case in point is Toronto's EARRL. Their latest CD, Wicked still is exactly that since it was released in November 2002. You could say they sound like a mix of The Tragically Hip, and Rage Against The Machine. And their sound is refreshing in a world that pop-culture seems to rule." - Patrick Kane

"The Broken Pencil"

"One hears something akin to an unholy union between Michael Hutchence and Roch Voisine. This allows Earrl to be flexible in it's choice of influences. Hence, some of the music presented here is a bit more funk and roots-driven than expected (In The Sun), though the album still remains power ballad-friendly throughout. Overall, a solid, radio-oriented record that breathes some new life into a very tired genre." - Karyn Bonham

"ETC...NEWS"

"It's been four years since Earrl has been able to play The Opera House located on Queen East near Broadview, and judging by the crowd that came out to hear them - it's been too long. From the opening number you know this is a straight ahead rock and roll band, no fuss, no muss, just good rocking music. Right when lead singer, Rich Swinamer, comes out confidently strutting his stuff and showcasing his great voice, you know you're in for a grand night's entertainment." - Roz Fulwell
