Bio

Earthbound hails from Birmingham, Alabama and consists of members Scott Hudson on vocals and lead guitar; Marcus Buckner on vocals, lead guitar, banjo, and mandolin; Ed Meredith on bass; and Marcus London on drums. Earthbound draws inspiration from a wide variety of musical influences such as Grateful Dead, J.J. Cale, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, among an ample selection of traditional songs as well. The band members also draw musical inspiration from each other on stage as their live performances have created a buzz throughout the Deep South. Over the past year, Earthbound has toured extensively throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. They have shared bills with Galactic, Keller Williams, Derek Trucks Band, Oteil and the Peacemakers, Papa Grows Funk, Col. Bruce Hampton, the Funky Meters, Particle, Futureman, Natti Love Joys, Sam Bush & the Newgrass Revival. Their first album, Somewhere In Between, displays the band’s original songs with an eclectic interest in blues, jazz, country, bluegrass, reggae, and straight-up rock’n’roll. Earthbound is currently in the studio recording their yet-untitled second album to be released in the near future. Thanks for supporting live music!
