Bio

Our band's mission is simple but big. We write music the better the world. That's BIG. Each of the band members individually were already working on real life altruistic projects (like the ones where you dig ditches) and were psyched to form a band where we could all join forces to deliver a singular message.

The band was initially put together to write a theme song for short film "Sparkling Spiral" but the project extended into a larger scale production with the addition of Tak Yonemochi, our executive producer. Each of our members has a distinctive musical background which blends to create a rich an colorful musical texture.

Yuko has a solid background in traditional Japanese folk songs and builds on top of that with more modern influences. Her voice can be described as having solid center, while being controlled and agile. Yuko balances her time between her vocal career and working for Japan International Cooperation Agency traveling around the world to help those in need.

Tak Yonemochi helps with production and composing, with a background in rock / adult orientated rock. He is a veteran guitarist who has played with members of Ratt Dokken Foreigner Asia. And he has a new solo album
features performances from former members of Yngwie Malmsteen and other big name artists.

Ken Suguro also helps with production and composing. Ken's musical influences ranges from hard electronica to rich symphonic arrangements, and writes songs with strokes that many times go from one genre into another. Ken adds great variety to Earth Generation's sonic texture.

Taku Kotabe provides conceptual direction for the project, and is involved with lyrics and the overall color of Earth Generation.

Each of us live somewhat separate lives. We each have jobs and full time commitments. But we set aside a little time, and put effort into Earth Generation. It is a tiny bit, but it's where our roads cross. Earth Generation is the overlap of each of our ideals.
