East End Lights

East End Lights is the combination of musical intellects Eric Gay, David Sutton, Scott Hamrick, and Branson Eubanks who have all been referred to as prodigies in their own respect. The story began in 2005 when frontman Eric Gay decided to form a band from the ground up, as he had grown weary from being in and out of bands for 5 years prior to that time. His plan was to seek out the best musicians in the area, and create something unique, simple, but with a touch of virtuosity.

Gay happened to stumble across an old acquaintance by the name of David Sutton in February 2005. After learning that Sutton was no longer in a serious musical commitment, the two formed the foundation of what is now East End Lights. After months of searching for the right rhythm guitarist, fate struck again when Gay found out that another old acquaintance, Scott Hamrick, was also band-less. After a few practice sessions, the three young musicians knew there was something fresh and new about their style. Something clicked. In the spring of 2007, the trio recruited Branson Eubanks, a well respected guitar player, to handle bass duties, and brings even more artistic creativity to the band.

After almost 2 years of honing their craft, writer's block, and soul searching, East End Lights is ready to break out. With honest songs about faith, arrogance, love, and wishful thinking, the band strives to be a positive entity with uplifting messages. The energy the group displays in their music translates to the stage flawlessly, each member giving 100% every show. With recent accomplishments such as winning a Battle of the Bands contest from a local radio station with over 4,000 votes to open for The Fray and Aqualung, East End Lights is ready to go far, and they're ready for you to go with them.

Unsatisfied with the progress East End Lights is making with their current recordings, they will be starting from scratch to record 4 songs and get the songs out there as soon as possible. Please check regularly for updates.
