"Ethan Winer"

Until you play classical music for yourself, and sit next to others in an orchestra, you have no idea of the fine detail required for a realistic performance. One of the best examples of good classical music MIDI sequencing is Richard Audd's "Earth Day". I believe this MIDI file comes with the current SB Live! installation CD. Anyone who wants to do a credible job sequencing classical music should study this piece, and in particular look at how Richard uses Volume controller messages. - http://atlas.csbnet.se/livecenter

"Audd's debut opus is as captivating and engaging as it is brilliant... [a] full, rich and bristling sound..." (Referring to 'a new light ~ christmas') - Syndicated reviewer, 1998

"Four Stars! THE Gay Album! Each selection is crafted with the detailed ear of a true orchestrator. With surprising panache, this one man symphony has produced a splashy, classy platter of pop, Broadway and Tin Pan Alley favorites." (Referring to 'Somewhere Over...') - OUTSOUNDS 1996

Bio

Richard's music writing began at the age of 16 with his first two orchestral works being performed by his high school orchestra. Then it was on to Oklahoma Baptist University and the Eastman School of Music. He has both a Bachelor's degree in instrumental music and piano, plus a Master's degree in composition and piano. Richard has performed and conducted everything from his own music for various sized ensembles to contemporary music, Broadway musicals, and standard repetoire concerts. His piano studies and performances as a clarinet player gave him the basic foundations for creating a true orchestral sound using computers and synthesizers. He has performed with the Eastman Wind Ensemble and the Eastman Philharmonia, conducted numerous concerts and studio sessions, and has lectured on video-tape editing and music for film and television.
Since it is near impossible for any classical composer to make a living pursuing his passion, Richard became an award winning and nominated video-tape editor.
Musically, he has also produced unique award winning and nominated musical productions.
In 1997, Richard won First Prize in the Creative Inspire Open MIDI Contest for "EarthDay". And in 2002, he won First Prize in the Creative Labs Soundfont Contest for "Concert Fanfare for Orchestra". "Concert Fanfare" was chosen for inclusion in Volume 10 of "Masterworks of the New Era" CD released in 2007.

Richard and RMA Music also offer a MIDI realization recording service.
