Bio

Atlanta based Hammond Organ funk outfit The East Ponce Soul Faction have done in only a year and a half what some bands could only dream of doing in their entire existence. Opening for hot National and International acts, Headlining premiere Atlanta clubs, headlining Southeast outdoor festivals, and touring with international acts. Word has quickly spread that the 5 piece Atlanta collective can be relied on to deliver a good vibe through heavy funky sounds. You will hear history coming through the speakers when you hear EPSF and their 1964 Hammond organ bring to mind some of the great bands that featured heavy Hammond grooves. You'll be reminded of The Meters, Medeski, Martin, and Wood, The Allman Brothers, Jimmy Smith, Karl Denson, and Soulive - only heavier. EPSF was hand picked to tour recently through the Southeast with British international funk superstars The New Mastersounds. They were tapped to open for Memphis based international funk sensations The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker. The EPSF sound works well with many different genres that they have also opened for garage indie/blues act Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears, reggae group Jah Roots, and also NBC America's Got Talent runner up Cas Haley. If all this has been done in just 18 months, the next few years is going to prove very exciting for Atlanta's own East Ponce Soul Faction
