Bio

Easy is a tidal wave of sound that continues to collect re-arrange and regurgitate music and soul.
The charging power of the iconic Grey Lynn band of brothers is to absorb and reclaim with casual disregard to structure.
Maia Rata fronts Easy with his soulful vocals and rock and roll energy, while Paaka Davis stands beside the lead singer and gives the group a hip-hop edge (and general street cred).
Behind these charasmatic vocalists is an ocean of talent.
>From the brass band training of trombonist Rob Simpson through to metal roots of bass player Nick Milat. Easy does it all.
Formed in 2004 the group has been mixing it up through different stages and phases of both music and life.
While there have been changes with both members and sound - the stability of lead guitarist Perry Hooper and Zone One Studios has kept the band focused and allowed growth and development.
The Easy machine continues to roll from strength to strength.
Jared Greenwoods's talent on the gat has kept Easy sound flowing right from when Easy was born in the Poetry and Motion sessions at the Thirsty Dog.
Tom Mee's saxophone keeps the party alive while Tom Atkinson (from One Million Dollars Fame) holds down the beat on the drums.
Mixing soul, reggae, rock, hip hop and funk, Easy is a stella line up of multi-talented and musically disciplined young men - who believe in the spiritual revival that occurs after a bloody good night out.
With new tracks in production, videos and great gigs on the 2010 calendar this genre-bending band will be making even more noise this year.
But you could have easily heard them before - Easy have performed more than 50 gigs throughout the upper North Island.
