I've released 2 EP's:
1.- Untitled- 2007- independ Mandy Ebel is a brand new emerging artist who is PASSIONATE about "GOOD MUSIC." Her truly unique, and astounding vocals are Mandy's biggest attribute, however it doesn't give it justice to say that her song-writing skills are only "runner up." This girl can write a mean song, and Mandy writes and sings songs that vary from BadAsS Electro-Prog-Rock-Fusion to Sultry Jazzy/Electro/R'n'B/World, and Ambient Acoustic Singer/Songwriter. Hitting up PHAT bass lines, intricate rythms, and catchy song arrangements, Mandy's tunes hit those spots in all the right places to send those shivers down your spine. However with such satisfying music, Mandy still takes a stand to sing about what genuinely makes up her soul, whether it be a personal experience, world issues, interaction scenarios, nature or spirituality, and she often expresses more-so abstract ideas that often are breezed past upon in an industry that has regular "standards". Musically speaking, Mandys smooth fusion of genres creates one BIG sound that has never been heard.... and it'll hit you like a bomb!
Recently, Mandy was chosen in 2008, along with 10 other "Outstanding Music Graduates" in Canada, to receive a prestigious National Music Award, called the "Fred Sherrat Award", by which MusiCan and CARAS ( Canadian Association of Recording Arts and Sciences) presented along with Founder of CTV Globe Media, Fred Sherrat. Mandy was elected for such an award due to her outstanding efforts, impressive vocal and songwriting skills, musical abilities, which became obvious throughout her time spent completing the Contemporary Music and Technology Program at Selkirk College in Nelson, BC, where Mandy currently is based. Mandy achieved her Vocal Performance Diploma and is currently studying Recording Engineering at the College and writing new material with her band, "Opal- Stone", as well as recording various solo projects and demos. This summer of 2008 Mandy released as EP of her songs, and played various local solo gigs at bars, festivals and restaurants. Mandy thrives off of new experiences and always appreciates collaborating, and learning whatever she can from other cultures, lifestyles, and techniques to make her music bring the people togetha...
This coming spring, when Mandy graduates, she has plans to move bigger, in hopes to land a record deal, and continue with performing, writing, and recording. Opportunity is calling, and this gal has no choice, but to answer. With over 17 years of playing music, be it piano, drums, guitar, vocals, or writing...Mandy is ready to take it where it needs to go, and create a listening experience that has never been done!ently sold
