Bio
Ebeneezer’s origins began in Boulder in 2004 when founding members Ben Rhodes and Biggie teamed up with drummer Dave Mason and Clay Claasen to form the first incarnation of the band. Ebeneezer quickly established itself in the jam community as a band whose jams were marked by creative improvisation while maintaining the structure necessary to create a prolonged groove for its audience. Playing at various venues along Colorado’s front range, the band gained a small, but fervent following and began receiving some local airplay, including an in-studio performance at Boulder’s KGNU.
In 2006, Dave and Clay left the band and Joe and John joined, allowing the band to begin incorporating more jazz and fusion elements into its music. Some years and many performances later, Ebeneezer continues to develop and expand its community through creativity and unpredictability.
