eBlue is a three piece band from Columbia, SC and a virtual haven for the Prog-Pop genre palette. Casting off the confines of vocally driven styles, their intricate melodies are laced with intense riffs, complex meter, and the haunting beauty of the eBow. Fill the void. Span time unimaginable.

Biography

eBlue is a 3 piece Prog-Pop
band from the suburbs of scenic
Columbia, SC. In the summer
of 2009, Aaron Terrapin - Guitar,
wrote the 7 song eBlue demo in
the solitude of his home. In the fall of that year
he would meet heavy hitter Aleks Amer - Drums.
The two clicked musically and launched a search
for a bass player, landing the young and talented
Scott Barber in November of 2010. This instrumental
band has been influenced by such greats
as Tool, Deftones, Incubus, and Scale The Summit.
eBlue has opened for nationally touring acts
such as Consider the Source and Psychostick.
Their debut album, “Blue Dream,” is the band’s
first full-length release and is due in March 2012.
“In Dreams” boldy introduces the enticing yet
haunting effects of the eBow, driving riffs and
colorful, clean arppegios. Bass and drums play
tight ‘in the pocket’ with syncopated, complex
rhythms, and intricate kick patterns. In contrast,
“Visions,” demonstrates the band’s diversity and
intriguing array of mixed meter, melodic fragments
and easily digested hooks. Their mission
statement is that of spiritual awareness.
