"The only way I can sum it up is: a freakers' ball with bands," E Bomb guitarist Eddie Lopez says of Planet Sex, the third installment in his band's series of risqué parties featuring the burlesque ladies of Lezbosagogo, Cut Throat Freak Show, body latex painting, bands and more. ("I got some wrestlers comin' out, too," Lopez adds.) Planet Sex kicks off at Static, 7373 Scottsdale Mall in Scottsdale, at 8 p.m. Saturday, July 12. Patrons are encouraged to dress in their most outrageous fetish gear and sexy costumes; prizes are awarded for the best outfits. "Any kind of eye candy, we want for the show," Lopez says. "We've had a girl come out with six other girls on leashes; it's pretty much like a circus."
Cut Throat Freak Show, the Valley's answer to Jim Rose's touring outfit, may be the most interesting of the acts -- Cut Throat Jeremy eats glass, breathes fire, sticks six-inch nails up his nose, sets himself on fire, Tasers himself . . . and he's just one-fourth of the Freak Show. "There's a contortionist, too," Lopez says. "And another guy plays with scorpions, puts them in his mouth and stuff." - Phoenix New Times
Discography
The band is in the studio recording their third album, consisting of more precisely honed ear candy than ever before, guaranteed to tickle the senses while hooking fresh melodies into unforgettable assemblages of aural pleasure. This effort will also deliver heavier and more dynamic songs than ever before, and if audience response is any indication, should blow the doors off of everything that has been done before.
Previous releases include the bands EP and first album, Rehab.
