Bio
One of the largest things that sets us apart from other bands is the fact that we have a full length set list of all original material, of all varieties. Our set can stand on its own in many different venues, and has several different moods available to the listener. We can easily customize the set to fit a certain vibe or flow in a venue. Our influences are amazingly diverse, which allows us to incorporate unexpected transitions, instruments, and ideas into each song to keep our music from being stale, while maintaining some accessibility for the everyday listener. While we experiment with our music, we do not alienate the listener. We also hold to a rigorous practice schedule each and every week to ensure we are stage ready and do not make mistakes at the show. We are comfortable enough with our set that we can perform flawlessly while also putting on a show for the audience.
Echo Grey began writing music together in late July of 2007 but Ryan, Brenton and Patrick have all played together since high school. With Ryan introducing the bass guitar to Brenton, and all of them playing so long together, there was a very developed core in place before Shawn joined. This has made the writing process very smooth as there is so much chemistry between all the band mates.
Echo Grey has been featured on Dekadance Radio, 106.7 FM and soon to be iChannel FM. We ranked Top 25 in the gather.com First Tracks Competition and are currently ranked 4th in the Alpine USA Rock the Dash Competition. We are competing in the Semi-Final round of the Harrah's Casino Metropolis Battle of the Bands competition and are featured on www.ourstage.com.
