Feeling a bit camera shy

When you hear the wind off of the ocean on a tranquil night and feel the touch of love’s glow, that is the sound and essence of EChris.

For EChris the inspiration to grace the world with his melodic voice, not only came from up above, but also from a woman who he reached out to and grasped with his soothing voice in church… his mother. It was in church that EChris fully realized the power and beauty of his gift. Today, he is a deeply spiritual young man with an unbelievable faith in God and people.

EChris was recruited for the Boys Choir of Harlem and was a lead dancer for the Repertory Dance Company of East Harlem while in high school. The formal training he received from these renowned organizations instilled a discipline that supported him through school, and now, is characteristics of EChris. His mother, a former singer and dancer recognized and encouraged the development of his talent at a young age. He credits her for keeping him on track and focused.

This talented performer has appeared on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theater, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center. In addition to working with such artist as Immature, Will Downing, Boyz II Men, Brandy, Michael Bolton and others, EChris also doubled for Wesley Snipes in the HBO Special “Disappearing Acts”. He also performed at the 2003 Black Exposition in New York City and has made numerous appearances in the NYC Club Circuit, such as opening for Jaheem, Cuba Gooding and Main Ingredient.

In 2003, while on stage at Madison Square Garden for the show, “Miracle on 34th Street”, he was blessed by Chaka Khan when she called him to the stage and introduced him to do an acapella piece.
From 2005 to 2006, NYC’s hottest radio station 107.5 WBLS was playing EChris single “Make that Move” live every Saturday night from the Shadow Night Club. From 2006 to 2011, EChris was not only singing, but attending John Jay College of Criminal Justice to gain knowledge in the laws of the music industry. In 2012, EChris proceeded to perform in different showcases and become known as EChris “The R&B; Hustler”. In 2014, EChris was offered an independent movie deal starring as an undercover cop in the movie “Red Head Randy” Even though the reviews were good, E.Chris continued his love and passion and recorded a new single which opened doors and blessings in 2015, titled “Step Your Game Up” the R&B; club banger, along with his love song, “Me and You”, EChris was able to sweep the audience off their feet on February 14th, at the World Famous BB Kings in NYC.

EChris’ ballards resonate with the maturity of someone who has loved, lost and loved again. His sound is “Tranquility in the Mist”
