E. Christina Herr & Wild Frontier

E. Christina Herr & Wild Frontier

A Western Gothic noir rodeo of Americana, Roots, Alt Country and old school Rock n Roll. E Christina Herr's crystal clear alto voice and tremolo vibrato richly contrast the soul of a vintage acoustic Gibson J200 and the dangerous twang of a Telecaster painting a soundscape felt as much as heard.

The name of the long time coming first record, Lullabies & Cautionary Tales came from a combination of comments made by 2 of the most important people in my life... Christina's mother had said my "songs sounded like Lullabies" and Martin Rowell, her partner in music and life said "until you listen to the words"... Listening to stories on the news I kept hearing the phrase "Cautionary Tales" and an epiphany occured… the connection was drawn.
A veteran of the 1980's Alt Country Americana scene in Los Angeles along with Lucinda Williams, Dwight Yoakum, Jim Lauderdale, Buddy Miller, Victoria Williams, Randy Weeks (was the guitar player in her first band ~ Jumpin' Bones), Allejandro Escovida and Rank n File to mention a few...
Playing in many bands including Jumpin' Bones, The Comstock Jug Band, Ghost Ranch, Days of Glory etc...
Since then a lifetime musical journey has taken many twists and turns and now she is living and playing in New Mexico with a great band and a deep involvement in the local Songwriter Community.
Yes, this record was a longtime coming, however I believe songs and records are born when the time is right...
