Eclyptix

"Eclyptix" is a multi genre experiment with no rules or boundaries. Rocky Jason Lee Pruden takes care of all aspects of "Eclyptix" songwriting, all instruments, production, recording, and promoting. All I want to do is "Rock". I currently have material entered into RadioStar 2006, aswell as the International Songwriting Comp, the John Lennon Songwriting Comp, as well as a some other smaller ones.

Born and raised in Canada all the way from Vancouver Island in the west to Ottawa in the east. I have lived in over 8 cities over the years and continously travel the world to date. I like to surf, rock, hang with friends, eat thai/viet food, shop, go to rock shows, and travel.

I have been involved in music for the last 17 years. I have 8yrs of Live Music Experience playing in three different bands, two all original bands (1997-2000) and one cover band (2002-2005) which I just recently left to focus on original material specifically for "Radiostar 2006". I've been hiding in the shadows for the last 5 years and "I'm finally ready" to get this ball rollin!!! SO LETS ROCK!!!

I studied/performed music through all the highschool/juniorschool years (drumset/all percussionary inst.) aswell as being a member in various drum corps for over six years (snare/tenor/bass), traveling and competing in over 6 world championships(D.C.I). I also played in a jazz band(drumset)and did vocal training at Victoria Comp in their choir(tenor) aswell as an acappella group(bari/tenor).
As the years progressed and I made the switch to Rock music where i started out playin drums and singing backups(incognito/the day) aswell as takin on some of the songwriting duties. This is where my serious music addiction started. That led to a second band(overwater) where I took on the lead vocal responsibility with all of the writing responsibilities which was alot harder than I thought it would be .... it didn't work out so well so I decided that I needed to focus on singing /songwriting/guitar. I bought my first P.A and sang to "pearljam ten"in my basement with my mic tied to a broomstick for months and months, it was pretty funny.

My mom and my sister came down for my birthday that year and seen my setup in the basement that was painted rasta colors, christmas lights all around the room and on the ceiling in the shape of a peace sign, drums in one corner two couches and chairs all around and of course my broomstick setup ... but something was still missing. That summer was when my mom and sister got my first electric guitar/amp for my birthday and of course with a real mic stand on top of that .... now the basement was fullyoperational... and so were the police. I sang my ass off in that basement for a couple years with tons of different roomates that all learnt how to play drums...or already knew.I had to finally move out because the police liked to stop by daily to see how the jamming wasn't going!(laughs)

"Eclyptix" as well as "TheRockShow" are my experimental projects (all original) with genres all over the map. Eclyptix/TheRockShow have no rules or boundaries ... its diversification is like how the world is today, so don't be surprised if you hear Alternative Rock one day... Progressive/Industrial the next ... or even Bongo'd out Acoutic ... thats just how I am! "I love it all".
