Ecstatic Madmen
New York City, NY | Established. Jan 01, 2018
Bio
An energetic three piece from Rockaway Beach, Ecstatic Madmen play songs full of authenticity, raw emotion, and carefully crafted melody.
Emerging from several bands in a shared rehearsal space and the vibrant Rockaway music scene, they have spent their first summer playing extensively in their hometown, including the 12th Annual RockStock Surf Competition and Music Festival, the ROCK! AWAY! Music festival in July, and after a show at the local breakout venue, AB Studios, they were asked to return for an all day event at the same venue called Two Bridges Music Festival.
They have also become standouts at the local hard rock venue Epsteins BEACH; sister of the legendary LES hideaway, playing three riveting shows and scheduling a September 1st show with Brooklyn upstarts Damn Jacklals.
The group has extended to Revolution in Amityville, Long Island, and after having played the ‘Summer Breakout’ showcase, were asked to return to open for The Dovahkings’ EP Release Labor Day Weekend.
Dan Kelley and Jethro Hernandez, formerly of Ethoscope and its reincarnation Ethos, lead the way. With their powerful cadences, melodic hooks, memorable riffs and heavy breakdowns, they bridge the gap between hard rock and indie.
Kevin York, formerly of An Ocean Apart, locks down the rhythm section with pummeling and technical drum beats that bring listeners from tapping their feet to dancing like Madmen.
They are currently working on recording a 2 track single and performing at live events in Brooklyn and Manhattan.
