Ed

The hardest part of starting this band was coming up with a name. We had chemistry, we had good songs to play, we had gigs lined up, but no name. We were at a deadlock for weeks on the decision to come up with one. Most of our favorites were the ones that sounded extremely unfitting, cheesy, or just plain weird, because they made us laugh. We had a list that included names like "Flesh Eating Disease" (after a very large hickey on Paul's neck), "Chernobyl Llama", "Fiduciary Gland", and "Captain Obvious and the band of people who play instruments." Clearly, none of these would really work for us. However, we found in them a common desire for our name to be something fun and funny, not caring if it was, in fact, a stupid name. We were calling ourselves Ergonomically Designed at the time, and finding that the name was a bit wordy, not to mention arbitrary, we decided to shorten it. Our name is Ed, and we like to rock.
