After several years spent playing alongside some of the biggest names of the French rock & metal, after creating, releasing and promoting a debut album sensation that rocked the national music scene to its core - Ed-Ake are about to unleash a work of art that will define once and for all their unique place in the world of French music.
Brutal and sensitive, intimate and exuberant, Ed-Ake�s music is a cathedral of eclectic paradoxes, somewhere between the stoner-rock of Queens Of The Stone Age, the glam of My Chemical Romance, the complexity of System Of A Down and the raw power of Guns N�Roses. A pure display of energy and delicacy, decadence and poetry, power and finesse , which conveys an authenticity and an attitude closer to the giants of yesterday (The Who, MC5, Led Zeppelin) than most of today�s bands.
As so often in rock'n'roll�s most glorious tradition - it begins with two brothers and a couple of friends, gathering in a garage to create a sound and a fury based around two sharp-edged guitars, a groovy bass, a shamanic voice and thunderous drums. On stage, the band delivers - concerts full of rage � full of emotion � full of show and glamour. As with many artists � it�s here they come alive and take on a hereto altogether different dimension. Pretentious? I should say so!
Ed-Ake are an unusual experience for a French act. A visceral, primal, immediate music, created with a mixture of each member�s influences. Energy and technique are expressed in perfect harmony and has garnered an increasingly large and faithful following. The band have joined many of the French rock scene�s biggest stars on stage and played alongside Superbus, Empyr, Aqme... aswell as international acts like Madina Lake.
They are strongly backed by the whole of the French rock media : rock radios and magazines were quick to see in Ed-Ake a genuine contender�.
Their second album - Decadence And Poetry - is now ready. Recorded, mixed and mastered in Brussels and Paris and it will be, without doubt, one of the musical highlights of the year.
It is not by chance that Ed-�ke please the metalhead as much as the teeny pop-rocker.
Their music is obvious, free and simple. It�s rock � pure and simple�
